Augustin Peytchinov is an architect with over 15 years of experience designing interiors, facades, multifamily high-rises, and large-scale public projects. Born in Bulgaria and raised in New York City, Augustin is fluent five languages and enjoys collaborating with diverse teams to deliver exceptional design solutions that all stakeholders and design teams find value in.
Augustin began his career working on high-profile interiors and luxury residences, including the 40/40 Nightclub for Jay-Z in Las Vegas and Gaby Karen’s Italian-inspired restaurant in SoHo, as well as bespoke residential townhouse, apartment, and loft projects in Manhattan and the Hamptons. He later expanded into larger-scale architecture, directing high-rise residential towers, mixed-use developments, and significant public works. Highlights include serving as Lead Architectural Code Enforcement official for the $1.5 billion expansion of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, leading renovations for city, state, and federal agencies, overseeing the Queens Performing Arts Center and Cafeteria renovations at Queensborough Community College, and guiding multiple multifamily and mixed-use developments. He was also listed as lead architect for a partnership with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill on a public contract with New York City’s Affordable Housing Authority.
Known for his expertise in building envelope performance, sustainability, and building/zoning regulations, Augustin combines technical rigor with creative problem-solving to bring complex projects from concept to completion. Across all work, he emphasizes design excellence, functional performance, and long-term sustainability, ensuring that each project meets the needs of both Owners and communities.
Augustin holds a Professional 5-year Diploma from Temple University and is a Licensed Architect in New York, New Jersey, California, Hawaii, and Arizona. Augustin is also accredited by the National Council of Architectural Accreditation Boards and the U.S. Green Building Council as a LEED AP with a specialty in Building Design and Construction. Augustin is also a Notary Public in the State of New York, and an active member of the American Institute of Architects and Free and Accepted Masons.
